character drawing challenge 8 -Chark-

Character Challenge. The character challenge is for those who have a large number of characters but hasn’t documented all of them. You write down the names of all of your characters, and then have different people randomly choose individuals for you to work on next. I have a huge amount of characters (Over 180), but haven’t been able to draw them all for a long time. I had no reason to because most of them are back characters or just family or acquaintances of my main characters. But I wanted to get them all down in a character sketch dump fashion, so I designated a small sketchbook simply to this character challenge and have been doing a character everyday to every week, or trying, in order to document them all. I challenge you if you have a lot of characters to try it for the sake of putting an identity to all the people in your head!

-Chark is a creature of mystery. It is shrouded with a playful morbidity and melancholy longing of hidden desires, much like a child with no knowledge of the world and stripped bare of every comfort. Its previous life is no longer valid, brought to a mad man on his death bed to become a slave. Chark is kept alive by magic, tainted by insanity and remembers nothing of its life. It knows only the orders that its life is worth, to protect the tomb of its master until such time when the master can reawaken by the hands of a necromancer to cure his own death. This self foretold prophecy is all that this faith lies on. But after thousands of years of guarding this tomb, the magic keeping Chark tied to the place is fading, as is that magic keeping it alive. Thus… it wanders slowly outwards with a desire slowly growing to a different meaning in it own life, though not to spare it.
