character drawing challenge 4/5 -Yortago/Ylynyat-

Character Challenge. The character challenge is for those who have a large number of characters but hasn’t documented all of them. You write down the names of all of your characters, and then have different people randomly choose individuals for you to work on next. I have a huge amount of characters (Over 180), but haven’t been able to draw them all for a long time. I had no reason to because most of them are back characters or just family or acquaintances of my main characters. But I wanted to get them all down in a character sketch dump fashion, so I designated a small sketchbook simply to this character challenge and have been doing a character everyday to every week, or trying, in order to document them all. I challenge you if you have a lot of characters to try it for the sake of putting an identity to all the people in your head!

YORTAGO/YLYNYAT
-Yortago and Ylynyat are essentially the same person. Both are strict and battle hardened and distrustful with a gentle undertone. Ylynyat is a good deal friendlier, untainted by thousands of years of war but depressed in injury. Yortago was born to a great profit and clan leader of the midlands during a time of war. Her father raised her to defend the clan, and she led great forces into many wars against the centaurs' enemies. She aged well, and became a living legend to the world around her and a feared foe to those to appose her and her allies. She was undefeated, and bored. Out of curiosity, she let herself rear a child, and raised him as she knew, knowing his path would be complicated. While he was away years later, she fell in battle, and on her deathbed ordered him to stay out of country borders until the war was over before she passed. Her soul fled to the South Eastern desert after haunting the forests and took into the vacant infant body of a foal there. Ylynyat was raised a warrior once more, and traveled across the world. She reunited with her past life’s son multiple times in that event, but never planned to be involved with the midland centaurs until she and her father were ambushed by Warkins. She was left mangled and her father killed. She was adopted into the profit’s clan once more, and came to many crippling situations until she became unmoved in the thought that fate was attempting to break her, no longer able to run, fight, jump, etc. Finally, she asked her mate to end her life and succumbed to a mercy decapitation by the sword and her soul fled to the ancient western islands of the bone-skins.
