Hup comic preview WIP page

Description

A decent amount of time ago I came to the conclusion that in some way I wanted to document the world of Hup in multiple fashions, through scientific journals, broad history and individual character experiences. Some of them I have figured out how to go about. The idea of a comic is new, however, but I had an unused moleskin sketchbook that took ink like a dream. I decided to illustrate the life of Rajah, my main orekroark character, throughout the planet Hup's leeching by means of comic. The comic itself touches upon the lives of Rajah and what he has to do to survive, other orekroark throughout the leeching, the history of the planet, its potential future and the lives of the poachers involved. There are no humans, or humanoids in this comic, just different races of aliens.
This is just a WIP preview of page 2 in the making of the comic, there will be a hell of a lot of shading, all done in ball point pen (except for the speech). I figured I would post up what I'm currently working on, since there has been a lot of Hup things and will probably be more Hup things coming.
I think I will show the first few pages in their line-art phase of the starting scenarios and see what people want; I will either do this as a web comic, or show none of it until I want to print it.

okay, I was thinking " that's a really odd shaped panel" but like you say it'll be more distinct with the details. I would suggest maybe having the guy in the bottom panel's head overlapping the panel above in some way. Or maybe zooming out the bottom scene so that it isn't touching the panel above, because I think that's what makes the composition slightly awkward. You could also change the shape of those two panels to like a diagonal type shape. But honestly it works just fine the way it is, and I don't want to seem like a busy-body. It's better to encourage an artist in all their endeavors rather than give them advice.
